This page was designed to help you find the best sources to attain 99 cent music downloads.
The selection of songs in legal downloading sites is rising astronomically at a rate proportional to lawsuits against illegal downloaders! SO BE SURE TO CHECK OUT those AUTHENTIC SITES.
I will give you these sources at the bottom of this page. But first... why 99 cent music downloads? I mean, why pay for them?
Several reasons:
Firstly, you will find that a site offering 99 cents per download is an authentic, legal site. The quality of the downloads will be streets ahead compared with peer-to-peer sites (p2p sites).
Also, you now have the opportunity to buy just the song, for 99 cents, instead of the entire cd. The cost of the CD could be $10 or more.
Even the cost of singles that we used to buy were way more than 99 cents - $2, $3? More for some? How about remixes? It would cost you sometimes as much as full-length CDs, maybe more for, to buy remixes of certain songs. Now you can download latest music for 99 cents!

The current, best source for attaining 99 cent music downloads? If you want to download a few, probably iTunes. If you plan to download many songs - i.e., more than 10 per month - with few or no burns, then it would be best to look into Napster, who is legit now, or Rhapsody. You can download an unlimited number of songs from between $9.95 to $14.99 per month. Try each free trial to see which one is the best for you.
Is there a way to pay less than 99 cents per download? If you plan to download commercial tunes, for example, "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey, and few of them, try wal-mart.com. You will pay only 88 cents.
The above four, plus MusicNow, are the only companies worth considering for 99 cent music downloads (or less).
No need to consider anyone else... including:
Buymusic.com - they have inconsistent pricing per download - most of these are more than $1 per download. The quality is not as great, either. They are improving, with fast download speeds, so stay tuned for updates.
Musicnet (AOL music downloads) - you need to be an AOL subscriber. This service has far less elegancy than the aforementioned ones. It is not a bad service, however, and I would consider it ONLY after trying out the free trials for Napster and Rhapsody. For more information on how to do this, read the full Musicnet review.
Yahoo! Unlimited Music - Also less elegant in terms of quality than the recommended services. For unlimited downloads, there are two fees: the monthly one plus an additioanl fee per download. This means you are at a loss no matter if you download few or many songs. Even though the elegancy is not as great, I am pretty sure that many upgrades will be made in the future - one which will be the price.
MSN Music - nowhere as good as any of the above. The five free downloads they give are only a one-time offer. Otherwise, they are 99 cent music downloads.
